ICL RECORDS 200 PERCENT GROWTH IN THREE YEARS

Having the capability of providing any imaginable kind of global-scale logistics service, ICL grew by 200 percent in the last three years. The company started 2011 with 29 percent growth, while this rate is aimed to be at 40 percent level by the end of the year

 

ICL is one of the biggest logistics companies in Turkey, with its international transport and logistics services. Also in terms of financial structure, as a member of a strong Turkish group of logistics companies comprised of 8 companies holding 12 brands, ICL is one of the prominent firms of the sector.

Gökalp Çak, the General Manager of İntercombi Transport and Logistics, states that 2010 was a vintage year and increase in production and consumption levels served all logistics and transport operators. “In 2010, our Group recorded 29 percent growth. Although there are not certain data for the entire logistics sector, I can tell that the sector grew at a level higher than Turkey’s overall growth rate,” comments Mr. Çak and states that they will lunge in 2011 for domestic partial distribution of food and non-food products. Emphasizing that they have increased their cold chain storage and distribution capacities, Mr. Çak continues, “For international operations, we are bringing air and maritime transportation some more to the forefront and accordingly, structuring with our overseas offices. We have set up the substructure in the Middle East and the Near East so as to reach the widest transportation network and we continue to develop it.” >>>
