Eşref Aydınlı, the Chairman of Transuniverse Logistics evaluated 2010 performance of their company. Aydınlı stated, “In 2010, we enjoyed an increase of 10 percent in the volume of our transports. Generally speaking, it is possible to tell that 2010 was fine and on the rise. However, fierce competition conditions prevented that increase to pass through to incomes and consequently our profitability ratios did not grow.”
Aydınlı noted that the transport services to Iran, which are realized by their own vehicles, reached a point that is beyond their expectations and added, “I anticipate that such operations to Iran will be much more in the year 2011.”
Eşref Aydınlı also explained his 2011 previsions as follows: “When we observe the first quarter of 2011, we see that the equilibrium in the market has not been restored yet. The hopeful outlook on 2011, with the encouragement of recovery signals in 2010, was unfortunately destroyed due to the unexpected increase in fuel prices and that fact unbalanced the market conditions. Like everyone else, those market conditions force us to leave some investment plans in limbo.” >>> |
