TURKISH CARGO AIMS AT 62 PERCENT MARKET SHARE IN 2011

With cargo services to 170 destinations through online flights and an additionally more than 26 points where freighters serve, Turkish Cargo increased cargo shipment volume by 32 percent in 2010, in comparison to the previous year, and reached 330 thousand tons.

 

As a consequence of its successful operations in the recent years, besides being at the first place in Turkey, Turkish Cargo has also become one of the largest companies in the world. In terms of destinations, Turkish Cargo is ranked as number 9 airline operator in the world and in terms of both destinations and passengers, as number 4 in Europe. Turkish Cargo offers a huge capacity in cargo carriage thanks to its network structured around İstanbul as its basis.

Thanks to the delivery of a new Airbus 330 type aircraft in mid-2010, Turkish Cargo has achieved the capability of shipping cargo at long ranges. With the cargo fleet of five aircrafts, the payload capacity of the freighters has a 30 percent share in the total capacity. >>>
